GURJIT BIRRINGREALTOR® | PRO BROKERCalgary, Alberta · 13 years of experience
Calgary REALTOR® & real estate investor
Real estate experience that goes beyond opening doors.
REALTOR® · Real Estate Investor · Renovation & Property Specialist
Real estate has been a major part of my life for more than 13 years. During that time, I have helped clients buy, sell, invest, build, renovate and make smarter real estate decisions throughout Calgary and the surrounding communities.
I’m not the kind of REALTOR® who simply opens the door, points toward the kitchen and says, “Imagine yourself living here.” I look beyond the fresh paint and beautiful staging. I want to know how the property was built, what improvements have been completed, what may need attention and whether the numbers actually make sense.
My extensive construction knowledge allows me to evaluate properties from a practical point of view. I understand renovations, layouts, building materials, structural considerations, basement development, secondary suites and the improvements that can genuinely add value to a home. A property can look perfect in photographs, but photographs do not show everything—and sometimes the nicest-looking wall is hiding the biggest surprise.
I also personally buy, renovate and flip properties. That hands-on experience has taught me lessons that cannot be learned from a real estate textbook. I understand renovation budgets, timelines, contractor coordination, resale potential and the importance of purchasing at the right price. I know how quickly a “small cosmetic project” can turn into a much larger commitment once the walls are opened.
Because I actively work with properties and investments myself, I approach every transaction with an owner’s mindset. Whether you are buying your first home, selling a long-time family property, purchasing a rental, planning a renovation or looking for your next flip, I will help you consider both the immediate decision and the bigger picture.
My knowledge of the Calgary real estate market goes far beyond average selling prices. I closely follow neighbourhood trends, property values, development activity, buyer demand and the features that make one property perform better than another. Calgary is not one single market. Every community, street and property type can behave differently, and understanding those differences is where experience truly matters.
For sellers, my goal is to position the property properly, market it professionally and negotiate confidently. I will give you honest advice about what should be improved before listing—and, equally important, what is not worth spending money on. Not every wall needs to become white, and not every kitchen needs to be completely renovated before a home can sell successfully.
For buyers, I take the time to understand what you actually need, not just what looks impressive during a showing. I will help you evaluate location, condition, renovation potential, resale value and the practical costs of ownership. If I see an opportunity, I will explain it. If I see a concern, I will not quietly hope you miss it.
My approach is professional, straightforward and personal. I believe clients deserve clear communication, honest guidance and someone who remains available throughout the entire process. Real estate can be exciting, stressful and occasionally a little unpredictable. My job is to keep the experience organized, protect your interests and make sure you understand what is happening at every stage.
I take my work seriously, but I do not believe the process has to feel stiff or intimidating. There may be paperwork, negotiations and a few unexpected surprises, but we can still enjoy the journey—and possibly share a laugh when a listing describes a room as “cozy” because there was no polite way to say “very small.”
At the end of the day, I am not here simply to complete a transaction. I want to help you make a decision that feels right today and continues to make sense years from now.
If you are looking for an experienced Calgary REALTOR® who understands the market, knows construction inside and out, personally invests and flips properties, and will always give you an honest opinion, I would be proud to work with you.
Thirteen years in real estate teaches you that no two transactions are exactly alike. Gurjit starts by understanding what you actually need, then analyzes the property, explains the numbers, builds the strategy, negotiates and manages the transaction through possession.
What we will look at together: understand the client, analyze the property, explain the numbers, build the strategy, negotiate, manage the transaction, and stay available after possession. Each part matters differently depending on the property, the market and what you are trying to accomplish, so I will explain the trade-offs instead of handing you a generic checklist and wishing you good luck.

What you won’t get
A relationship should feel personal—not processed.
What we will look at together: pressure, generic advice, sugar-coated answers, and being passed around between different people. Have a question? Start with the unpolished version.
You can send me the listing, the address or the thought that begins with “I’m not sure if this makes sense, but…” That is more than enough to start a useful conversation.
